Jen tells me this morning, "Here, finish and mail my ACT registration. It has to be postmarked today."
She tells me this evening, "I have to be at the school at 7:30 in the morning for the SAT."
I need to tell her to stop asking me to take tests or I will go BATTY. :P Jeff just can not understand WHY she would VOLUNTEER to go take a school test and on a SATURDAY! PIMP He is too funny.
OK, so this morning I took her ACT packette to the school and asked the counselor to finish it. Hey, I'm not stupid! She did tell me she'll put together a parent support meeting later to fill out the all the financial forms. She has pretty much decided on Texas Christian in Fort Worth but we shall see.
Only 15 school days remaining to the year.....I'm always amazed at how fast these years fly by. I've been looking at summer programs for the kids. I hope Jen will be able to find another summer job. The boys have TaeKwonDo (we are taking a break this testing cycle), Jeff will be going to a tutoring session 3 hours a day, 4 days a week for a month, and we'll probably do a VBS or two. We plan to take a vacation trip this summer as well but have not decided exactly where that will be.
I am so not ready for Jared to be in middle school next year be he is excited. The school is planning a trip next June for his class to go to Virginia and DC but, gosh, he is still so little!!! I just can not see him making a trip that far away from home. I wish I could give him that experience but just when he is a little older.
Health has been tossing us a few challenges the past weeks.....Jared contracted chicken pox at school. Yes, even after getting the vaccination. They turned out to not be too bad. He had several days of pretty bad itching and used up tons of calamine lotion but most of the time he was home from school he was fine. He complained for days that he was bored and ready to go back to school, and watched the clock all day to see when the others would be home so he could play. And *I* am still struggling with kidney pain. I think I'll have to make another appointmet with the doctor next week. I expect he'll be wanting to do some tests. Fun Fun Fun

I forgot about his chicken pox! Did it spread to anyone else?
Feel better!
No, only Jared had them and they weren't too bad. He kept scratching the ones on his tummy so his stomach stayed painted white from calamine lotion but other than that it was nothing more than a boring non-event for him.
