Or should it be stupid lessons? My sons girlfriend proudly announced yesterday that she is pregnant. Now, I absolutely adore babies. I believe that they are each a special treasure that we are gifted with. I look forward to being a grandmother one day. However, I want the best for my grandbabies.........not to be born to unwed, immature, dependant teens. My heart breaks over what I can forsee in the future of this child.
On to other, more exciting things...today, my dear friends, is the last day of school. In just over an hour the bells will toll for the final time of this school year and we will have completed another successful school year. We've ended the year on a high note........everyone did awesome on their TAKS testing. Jen was just 1 question shy of having a perfect score on the math section and got commended (highest achievement) on all 4 sections of the test. Jared was awarded the Presidents Education Award for the year among others. Jeffrey got a special music award among others and I had one teacher wanting to take him home and keep him.
That reminds me of something he said once.........Teachers are always telling me how cute, precious, great, awesome, sweet, etc he is. One day last year we were walking down a hall at the school and I told him about someone saying he was too cute and gave this big shrug and sigh and simply said "Yea, all the women say that."
We have plenty plans for the summer. I think I'm going to take off every Friday to do something fun, whether it is spend the day at Grandma's, go to the movies, maybe the beach.......and any other idea I can come up with. We have I think 13 weeks of summer vacation so looking for ideas. Any ideas? Please share them.
