my fighter trainee
I watch this little boy working hard to get his yellow belt and I just have to admire him. Despite the struggles and frustrations he has had all his life he still picks himself up and moves on the the next thing. The frustration at his limitations does make him quit often but with most things he is willing to come back and try again and again. Watching him this evening at TaeKwonDo class I was reminded of him coming to me just a month ago, disappointed with himself at what he felt where his failures. He asked me, "Mom, why am I not good at anything?" I had to struggle to come up with a good answer for him. So I was watching him this evening, watching how well he is doing after just 2 weeks of class. I'm excited to watch him do something that he is great at doing! I makes me want to do everything possible to make sure I have the money to keep him in it. It's good for him......healthy and esteem building.
